Life’s too short to build simple things.

I’m Max Salamonowicz - founder, builder, greybeard with ADHD. I’ve spent 20+ years making “impossible” projects work: AI that tells interactive stories (Omea), technology that helps 70+ million Deaf people communicate (Migam), robots, connected board games, and things I probably shouldn’t mention in polite company.

This newsletter is my workshop. Every week, I share dispatches from the trenches of building with small teams - the Skunk Works methodology that Lockheed used to build America’s first jet fighter in 143 days with 23 engineers. Hard-won lessons, honest failures, and the occasional 3 AM victory.

It’s free. Always will be. I’m not here to monetize your attention. I’m here to share what I’m learning - because someone once shared with me.

What you’ll get

Skunk Works dispatches - deep dives on making impossible things possible with small teams and ruthless focus.

Founder’s confessional - raw stories from fundraising, team-building, and the unglamorous reality of startup life.

AI for humans - technical deep dives made accessible. How we’re building narrative AI, why current approaches fail, and what comes next.

Greybeard’s corner - 20+ years of lessons, compressed into something useful for people earlier in the journey.

One email per week. Long-form when the topic demands it. No fluff, no filler, no “10 tips to 10x your productivity”.

Who is this for?

Founders building ambitious things. Engineers who want context beyond the code. Anyone curious about AI, storytelling, or what it actually takes to make something from nothing.

If you’ve ever looked at a problem everyone said was impossible and thought “...but what if?” - welcome. You’re in the right place.

About me

Polish founder, now splitting time between Warsaw and Silicon Valley. CEO of Omea (AI-powered interactive storytelling). Advisor at Migam (AI for sign language). Slowly building a personal robot named QUIN-C on weekends.

I believe in small teams over large ones, shipping over planning, and trusting people over managing them. I have ADHD and consider it a superpower. Each company I build is deliberately harder than the last - because life’s too short to do simple stuff.

Find me on LinkedIn where I’ve been posting raw founder updates for years. This newsletter is where the longer, deeper pieces live.

Questions? Reply to any email. I read everything.
